Armed with galactic aspirations and a penchant for rock ‘n’ roll styles,Paul Smith imagined an eclectic future for his man. Ready for a journey to the moon, pants accented with zippers were paired with psychedelic prints for a fun fall adventure. Taking the typical blueprint of a Paul Smith collection and amplifying the details, lapels as well as hems found a drastic makeover with foreign cuts and a touch of moon dust. Pumping up the volume as a nod to spacesuits but still keeping a tidy shape, Paul Smith’s quirky fall outing no doubt impressed, coming to the perfect completion with futuristic necklaces as the perfect accessory.

Prepared for a regal affair with exquisite taste, Comme des Garçons’ fall collection tailored the season to the noble gentleman. Donning distinctive wigs and flat wingtips, the label’s inclination towards a generous silhouette surprisingly complemented the season’s look well. Armed with tailcoats and elongated proportions, the man of Comme des Garçons made a splash with exotic prints that charmed against the stark contrast of black suiting.

Bond. James Bond. A designer with one of the most vivid imaginations and brilliant sources of inspiration, Jean Paul Gaultier turned to 007 as the muse of his latest collection. A gun toting, modern version of raw sexuality, Gaultier’s constant changing man cleaned up nicely as a figure of elegance, whether supplied with a dashing suit and fishnets or an ensemble derived from sea espionage. Showcasing the practicality of formal wear and other standbys with the allure of adventurous pieces decked in gold, this is one collection enjoyed shaken, not stirred.

Activewear takes center stage for Neil Barrett’s fall 2011 collection. Telling a black, white and gray story with textured lines and graphic prints, Barrett sent his men down the runway in clunky boots and technical fabrics. Playfully approaching this season’s silhouette, the collection boasted chunky knits paired with a mix of wide-cut trousers and unforgiving slim-fitted pants. From intersecting stripes and textured panels to subtle gradients, Neil Barrett’s man traversed the world of athletics and fashion for an interesting fall outing to say the least.

Andrej Pejic had his breakout moment last season at Paris Fashion Week for spring/summer 2011. Making an appearance on the catwalk for labels such as Jean Paul Gaultier and Paul Smith, the Australian/Serbian model turned heads with his striking androgynous features. Previously, Andrej had appeared in a couple editorials, most notably in a story forWonderland. Shortly after, the fall season came and Andrej hit the scene with a whirlwind of editorials, ranging from pieces with Steven Meisel and Mert & Marcus to Willy Vanderperre. A favorite in both magazines for men and women, Andrej became the newcomer to watch and all after a chance agency signing in Australia and trip abroad to London for a major debut in Paris. Next up for the blonde locked wonder is an impressive campaign season with appearances for Marc by Marc Jacobs and appropriately Jean Paul Gaultier.
